Today's Thought: Seven Wonders of the World
Virtually all of us were taught in school about the Seven Wonders
of the Ancient World.
Do you remember them? Can you name them (in any order)
1) ____________________
2) ____________________
3) ____________________
4) ____________________
5) ____________________
6) ____________________
7) ____________________
You will find a complete list at the end of today's THOUGHT.
I was surprised recently when I received a variation of the Seven
Wonders over the Internet. The piece, however, got my
attention. In our quest for meaning and success in life, more and
more of us are asking hard questions about what is important. As
we look at growth, transition and succession and as we realize the
importance of who and what come next and our roles in that
process, many of us are re-evaluating what is wondrous about life
and modifying our behaviors accordingly.
Here are the Seven Wonders of The World as purportedly seen
through eyes of a child: to see, to hear, to touch, to taste, to
feel, to laugh and to love. Those are, indeed, wonders to behold
and to experience.
[There is also a project for identifying the Seven Wonders that
currently exist, and you can vote on them. Current leaders in the
voting are: The Great Wall of China, the Potala Palace and the
Roman Colosseum. For more information, go to:

The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World were: the Great Pyramid,
Babylon's Hanging Gardens, the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, the
Temple of Artemis, the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, the Colossus of
Rhodes and the Lighthouse of Alexandria. For more information on
these wonders, go to:
